About TOK
TeachingOurKids.com (TOK) is a website that features mostly free teaching resources and craft tutorials for parents and educators. Some of the content has been created by us (or for us) and some of it has been submitted by others.
About Agnes
Hi, I'm Agnes and I'm the person behind TOK. I'm happy you're here and I hope you'll enjoy the website!
Here are a few things about me:
- I've been homeschooling our two special needs kids for over 10 years.
- We started homeschooling when our firstborn (with high-functioning autism) couldn't handle school.
- We live on an island in Canada.
- I have two university degrees (Engineering and Science).
- I'm bilingual and have lived in three different countries.
- I love to read books (fiction and non-fiction) and research studies.
- I spend a lot of time in the kitchen every day making healthy food that my children and I won't react to. Unfortunately, we have quite a few food sensitivities in this family.
- We LOVE birds in this family, so you might see me sharing a lot of bird posts, bird articles, bird printables, etc.
I love helping educators promote their freebies, giveaways, deals, and craft tutorials. If you create freebies or art tutorials, take a moment and submit a link to your posts, and I'll share them on social media. Each approved submission also goes out in the TOK newsletter.
Please note that there are no actual freebie/product files (that I do not own) stored on TOK, and we do not accept direct links to those files (unless the original creator wants us to). Each resource has a link (the blue button below the description) that will take you to the content creator's website.
If you feel that an image has been submitted to this site that shouldn't have been, please contact me and I'll remove it as soon as possible.
